A display for washing machine and a washing machine having the same are provided to prevent earth leakage caused by rust of a terminal unit of a liquid crystal display and dew formed inside the washing machine and to prevent screen blur of the liquid crystal display due to moisture permeation. A display for washing machine comprises a liquid crystal display(16) having a screen and an external connection terminal(69), a liquid crystal cover(36), a control substrate(33), and a sealing member. The screen displays different information about a washing process. The external connection terminal supplies power to the screen. The liquid crystal cover has a terminal opening(84) and contains the liquid crystal display so that the terminal of the liquid crystal display is exposed through the terminal opening. The control substrate is electrically connected to the terminal exposed from the liquid crystal cover, and controls the liquid crystal display. The sealing member is made of insulating material, and covers the terminal exposed from the liquid crystal cover and the terminal opening. |
