A device for cleaning a handle of a hand-propelled vehicle such as a shopping trolley comprises an enclosure (1, fig 1) that is mountable on the handle 2. The enclosure (1, fig 1) includes a first at least partially tubular compartment (1a, fig 1), a second at least partially tubular compartment (1b, fig 1) coupled to or connected to the first compartment (1a, fig 1) and a cleansing element 6 in or part of one or both of the first and second compartments (1a, 1b, fig 1). When mounted, the cleansing element 6 is in effective contact with the elongate handle 2 and the enclosure 1 is movable axially from a first position to a second position on the handle 2. The cleansing element 6 may include a detergent, disinfectant or sterilising fluid. The ends of each compartment may include a squeegee 4 and the first and/or second compartments (1a, 1b, fig 1) may be transparent. |
