<p>The suction roll has multiple suction slots (1-4) running parallel to a roll axis and discharging into a lateral surface, where the adjacent suction slots (1, 3) are admittable with the suction air independent of each other by axial channels (17-20). A slot covering (9) is arranged on the lateral surface in such a manner that through-holes (8, 10) partially align with the suction slots. The axial channels are arranged in a front side (11) of the suction roll, where the axial channels discharge into the respective suction slots.</p> |
