A double-sided print image forming apparatus and a double-sided printing method using the same are provided to shorten time for performing double-sided printing operation. A paper feeding unit(10) supplies a sheet. A developing unit(30) forms an image on the sheet supplied by the paper feeding unit. A fixing unit(40) fixes the image formed on the sheet. A paper discharge unit(160) includes a driving roller(42) which is rotated clockwise and counterclockwise, the first following roller(162) rotated in mesh with the driving roller, and the second following roller(163) provided at the other side of the driving roller and rotated in mesh with the driving roller. A double-sided printing unit(70) re-enters the sheet to the developing unit to form an image on the other surface of the sheet. A controller controls a rotational direction of the driving roller to move a preceding sheet between the driving roller and the first following roller and a subsequent sheet between the driving roller and the second following roller.
