MOVABLE SET TOP BOX APPARATUS, METHOD AND SYSTEM OUTPUTING IMAGE USING THE SAME

A movable STB(Set Top Box) and an image output method and system using the same are provided to allow a host to output image data of high picture quality without a load. A connector(210) is fastened to a host and relays data transmitted to or received from the host. A controller(220) controls to set a communication protocol with the host, receives image data from the host, and transfers the same. A transcode module(240) decodes the image into decoded data or encodes the decoded data into encoded data. The controller transmits at least one of the decoded data and the encoded data to the host. The connector is formed as a USB(Universal Serial Bus) type. The transcode module encodes the decoded data into the encoded data according to an upstream transfer speed.
