A preparation method of porcelain groundwork is provided to obtain porcelain groundwork for tableware or for fine art porcelain from coarse byproduct from kaolin purification process which supplies plentiful kaolin clay. A combination of groundwork is carried out by combining 10-50% of hard pottery stone from Aphae-do, 10-50% of soft pottery stone from Aphae-do, 20-60% of secondary clay and 10-20% of byproduct from kaolin purification process into 1kg, followed by grinding the combined mixture in a ratio of 0.95:1:0.82 for the groundwork combination:ball:water in a pot mill at 106rpm for 24 hours. A preparation method of porcelain groundwork comprises steps of: selecting secondary clay from Gang-Jin province as a plastic material, hard and soft stone from Aphae-do as aggregates and byproducts from kaolin purification process as a melting material; combining 50% of pottery stone, 30% of secondary clay and 20% of byproduct from kaolin purification process; and calcining the combined mixture at 1250deg.C.
