SURGY PROTECTING APPARATUS USING OF AN OPT CARD OF EMERGENCY LINE

A surge protecting apparatus using an OPT(OutPut Transformer) card of an emergency line is provided to prevent an inrush voltage from being inputted to an interlock logic unit and a display control unit due to damage of an optical fiber. A surge protecting apparatus using an OPT card(32) of an emergency line(18) prevents equipment of an interlock logic unit(2) and a display control unit(4) from being damaged due to the loss of the OPT card in lightning to a solid line cable(22) by interposing the OPT card in a predetermined part of a center of the cable. The OPT card includes a plurality of optical connectors(34) and optical fibers for connecting the optical connectors. The optical fibers are damaged in the lightning to the solid line cable to prevent an inrush voltage from being inputted to the apparatus.
