A cooktop is provided to mount more burners without increasing size of the cooktop or kitchen appliance. A cooktop includes a first burner(100), a second burner(200), and a guiding member which guides any one of burners to be stacked on the top of the other burner or to be arranged parallel to the other burner. At least one of the burners is a plate type heater. Otherwise, at least one of the burners has a glass plate(210), an electric resistant pattern at the bottom surface of the glass plate to generate heat when electricity is applied, and an insulation layer located beneath the glass plate to insulate the resistance pattern. One burner arranged on the top of the other burner has a pad on a side of the burner to make a contact with the top surface of the other burner. The guiding member has a hinge connecting the first burner and the second burner to allow one burner to rotate around an axis, a flexible wire connecting both the first burner and the second burner for guiding relative motion of both burners, or a link having a first end to allow the first burner to rotate and a second end to allow the second burner to rotate. The link can have plural articulations.
