A moving body of a stage apparatus is provided to realize light weight by forming the moving body using aluminum and through an extrusion such that the moving body has a hollow. A moving body such as a gantry(60) of a stage apparatus comprises a hollow(62). The moving body is made of aluminum material and is formed through an extrusion process. An upper surface, a lower surface, a front surface and a rear surface of the moving body are coupled at corner portions. The corner portion has a thickness larger than that of an upper surface wall(60c), a lower surface wall(60d), a front surface wall(60a) and a rear surface wall(60b). The hollow has a rib which is curved against the upper surface wall, the lower surface wall, the front surface wall and the rear surface wall.
