CAMERA MODULE AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY

A camera module and its assembling method are provided to reduce a quality failure cost by improving a problematic fabrication process caused by an insufficient or exceeding torque specification. A lens unit(10) includes an insertion opening(11). A camera module(A) includes an insertion hole(21) formed at a position corresponding to the insertion opening to allow the lens unit to be slidably inserted therein. An IR filter(30) is installed within a camera housing(20). An image sensor(40) converts an optical image into an electrical signal. A PCB(Printed Circuit Board)(50) processes the signal which has been converted by the image sensor. An elastic member(60) is installed between the lens unit and the camera housing to provide a repulsive purse to the lens unit according to a sliding movement of the lens unit. A fixing unit fixes the lens unit and the camera housing after the camera module is adjusted for focusing.
