OPTICAL FIBER CUTTING DEVICE

An optical fiber cutting device is provided to automatically change a contact region of a blade member and a glass fiber by rotating the blade member to be synchronized with movement of the blade member. An optical fiber cutting device(1) includes a disk type blade member(3). The blade member forms a cut groove on a surface of a glass fiber unit(16) of an optical fiber(15) by being moved to the glass fiber unit of the optical fiber. A contact region of the blade member and the glass fiber unit is changed by rotating the blade member to be synchronized with movement of the blade member. A contact member is installed on a moving path of the blade member. The blade member is rotated by contact friction force generated by a contact between the blade member and the contact member.
