摘要 An LCD device and a driving method thereof are provided to improve the charge rate of data voltages by preliminarily charging (N+4)-th and (N+8)-th gate lines at the same time during a predetermined time when performing the charging at N-th gate line. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes plural pixel rows, plural first and second gate lines, plural data lines(D1-Dm), and first and second gate drivers(400L,400R). The pixel rows disposed in a row direction include plural first and second pixels having first and second switching elements. The first and second gate lines disposed in upper and lower portions of the pixel rows apply a gate on voltage to the first and second switching elements, respectively. The data lines formed to cross with the first and second gate lines and disposed between the adjacent first and second pixels, apply a data voltage to the first and second pixels. The first and second gate drivers apply a step typed gate on voltage that executes preliminary charge and main charge to the first and second gate lines.
