A method for preventing miss-detection of a relay short error of an electronic control unit is provided to prevent the electronic control unit from being broken down due to a relay short by precisely detecting the relay short. A method for preventing miss-detection of a relay short error of an electronic control unit comprises the steps of checking the turn-off state of an ignition device(S408), maintaining power applied to the electronic control unit for a predetermined time when it is determined that the ignition device is turned off(S410), checking the ignition device to determine whether the ignition device is turned on(S412), and connecting a relay if it is determined that the ignition device is turned on within a predetermined time(S414).
