THE METHOD FOR DETECTING R PEAK OF AN ELECTROCARDIOGRAM SIGNAL

A method for detecting an R peak of an electrocardiogram signal is provided to select the R peak exactly by evaluating suitability of an R peak candidate by using a central R peak in spite of a motion artifact. A method for detecting an R peak of an electrocardiogram signal includes the steps of: calculating a moving average with a width of 120msec; selecting a signal with the maximum in a signal region with 0.5mV or more than the moving average as an R peak candidate; selecting a point of time when the R peak has the most similar shape to a current R peak between 0.3 to 1.0 second from the R peak; and calculating an interval RRi between a point of time of the current R peak and the selected point of time, calculating a histogram of the RRis, and determining the interval with the maximum to be a period of the current R peak.
