INTERFACE DEFINITION LANGUAGE BETWEEN EMBEDDED DEVICE AND HOST SERVER

An interface definition language structure between an embedded device and a host server, and a source generator using the same are provided to offer an XML(eXtensible Markup Language)-based standard interface definition language capable of defining an interface message type for a communication protocol/service and a service call between heterogeneous devices such as the host server and the embedded device. A source generator setting unit includes comment, and definition of a data type interchanged between a host server and an embedded device. A service mapping setting unit includes mapping information for calling a service providing function for the host server and the embedded device. A service defining unit defines individual service to be provided by the host server and the embedded device. The source generator setting unit includes a general option element, a protocol transceiving message generation option element, and a data type definition element. The service mapping setting unit includes inbound and outbound service mapping elements. The service defining unit includes inbound and outbound service elements.
