METHOD FOR CONTROLLING EFFICACY OF IMMUNOTHERAPY OF PURULENT MAXILLARY SINUSITIS IN PATIENTS WITH DIABETES MELLITUS

A method for controlling the efficacy of the immunotherapy of the purulent maxillary sinusitis in the patients with diabetes mellitus comprises assaying the secretory IgA in the saliva and the blood serum as well as IgA, IgM and IgG in the blood serum. The affinity of the produced antibodies and their glycosylation are assessed. The absence of the recovery of the affinity and the glycosylation values suggests the insufficient efficacy of the therapy. The recovery of all the parameters to the normal values is indicative of the therapeutic efficacy.
