The parts have an edge to form a longitudinal contact on a flange of the filter, and a groove to form housing for a collar of the filter. The parts have air intake windows (23) for allowing radial or longitudinal intake of air. The edge is extended radially to create an annular longitudinal support surface that is plated against the flange of the filter. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Device for protecting a high capacity cylindrical air filter of a high power electric generator. Can also be used for a marine engine and an industrial engine. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The protection device facilitates the passage of the filter from protected configuration to unprotected configuration. The protection device can be assembled in a simple, rapid and economic manner.
