A structure of a light guide plate in a portable terminal is provided to enable a user to identify a keypad more clearly by forming a light pipe for guiding light of light emitting elements to corners and sides of a button unit and the keypad. A structure of a light guide plate includes a pattern unit(130) and a light pipe(140). The pattern unit is assembled by plural scratches which are formed by the straight line type and the zigzag type at positions matched with buttons of a keypad. The light pipe is formed on an upper part of the plural scratches or connected to the pattern unit one to one or one to many. The light pipe connects the pattern unit to an inserting hole(150) formed on the light guide plate and guides directly the light of a light emitting element, located at a center of the light guide plate, to the pattern unit. The light pipe is formed on corners or sides of the light guide plate or spaces among buttons so light can be guided to shadow spots and lighting variation can be prevented. |
