A substrate compactor is used in agriculture and can be used while compacting a substrate for growing the oyster mushroom with simultaneous packing thereof into bags of a cylindrical shape. The substrate compactor comprises a loading tank under which a receiving chamber for substrate, separated from the tank by a valve, is arranged. In the lower part of the receiving chamber a compacting unit is arranged. It is made as a piston installed in such a manner as to allow moving thereof along the receiving chamber. In the side section of the receiving chamber a neck for unloading the compacted substrate into the bags is arranged. Opposite the neck in the opposite wall of the chamber an additional piston of the main compactor is disposed. Additionally in the side surface of the unloading neck a supporting unit is hingedly fixed. It is made in such a manner as to allow retarding movement setting up counteraction to package and preventing from the free movement of the mass being compacted while it comes out from the unloading neck of the chamber. This allows observing the homogenous density of the mass and regulating the degree of compacting thereof, especially while changing the mass of a loaded portion simultaneously packing thereof into bags. |
