PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting device excellent in assemblability, and capable of accurately detecting displacement even if an inspection object is an object which moves in three-dimensional directions. SOLUTION: The displacement detecting device detects displacement of a predetermined detection object 21 which performs linear motion and rotational motion and outputs a detection signal, and is provided with a moving member 6 which is brought into contact with a predetermined spot of the detection object 21 and moves linearly with the displacement of that contact point, an elastic member 15 which presses the moving member 6 to the detection object 21 with elastic force, and a sensor section 11, 12 for outputting a signal according to the movement of the moving member 6.
