PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve user's operability during editing an image data. SOLUTION: A reproduction object reading portion 81 read out from an optical disk an image data and a low resolution data, which is the image data with low resolution. A synthesizing portion 82 synthesizes the read image data and the read low resolution data. Based on the synthesized data obtained as a result of synthesizing, an image display I/F displays a source image, which is a video image corresponding to the image data, on a parent screen at a display device, while the interface concurrently displays a low resolution image, which is a video image corresponding to the low resolution data, on a child screen smaller than the parent screen at the display device.
