PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which can attain both wear resistance in a high severity region such as a high load and high sliding speed and various properties such as exothermic durability and chipping resistance, and is suitable as a high speed and high load tire for aircrafts and linear motor cars, particularly as a tire for aircrafts. SOLUTION: The high speed and high load pneumatic tire comprises a tread rubber comprising a rubber composition comprising (A) a rubber component comprising a conjugated diene polymer rubber and 2-20 mass% of a crystalline trans-polybutadiene rubber which has a weight average molecular weight of 1×10<SP>4</SP>to 10×10<SP>4</SP>and a trans content of 70% or more and (B) an organic thiosulfate compound represented by the general formula (I): M<SB>1/p</SB>O<SB>3</SB>S-S-(CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>n</SB>-S-SO<SB>3</SB>M<SB>1/p</SB>, and may have water of crystallization in an amount of 0.5-2 mass.pts. based on 100 mass.pts. of the rubber component, wherein M represents a metal such as lithium, potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium, and barium; p represents the valence of the metal; and n represents an integer of 3-10.
