PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device easily folding an airbag for an occupant in a front passenger seat. SOLUTION: The airbag 10 is folded in a predetermined area E corresponding to a housing part of a case body for housing the airbag 10. The predetermined area E has long sides A and short sides B. After inflating the airbag 10, the airbag 10 is flattened by pushing it from over. The airbag 10 is held by airbag holding plates 45 radially arranged. After making a fold, a first presser 51 is moved forward from a peripheral part so as to form a first gathering part. Continuously, after making a fold, a second presser 52 is moved forward so as to form a second gathering part.
