PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that cohesion is generated in a highly humid environment. SOLUTION: When a printer 20 is made to print an arbitrary image, a humidity H of an environment where the printer 20 is installed is measured. When the humidity H is higher than a predetermined reference humidity, the value of dot amount data which regulates a generation amount of dots is corrected in a direction to decrease according to a height of the humidity H. Consequently, the number of dots actually delivered on a printing paper also decreases as the humidity H is higher. As a result, cohesion prone to take place in the highly humid environment can be effectively prevented, and a high-quality printing result is obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
