PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic generator or a skin care device using the same, which uses a plate-like horn designed to make the whole device smaller and lighter, as well as less costly, and to surely supply electricity to its ultrasonic vibrator via the horn. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic generator includes an ultrasonic vibrator 1 and a horn 5. The horn 5 is of a flat plate-like horn 16 having reverse flat surfaces, one of which forms a connection surface 16a connected to the ultrasonic vibrator 1 and the other of which forms an ultrasonic wave emitting surface 16b. A horn-side connection terminal 11 contacts a circumferential portion of the connection surface 16a of the flat plate-like horn 16 surrounding the ultrasonic vibrator 1 at a plurality of places thereof to electrically connect to one electrode of the ultrasonic vibrator 1 through the flat plate-like horn 16.
