PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interference detecting device and a medical image diagnostic apparatus for previously detecting a sign of a contact when a clean field such as a subject almost comes into contact with a gantry (an unclean field). SOLUTION: This interference detecting device is provided with: a contact prediction sensor including a light emission section for radiating a plurality of optical beams for previously preventing an object passing through a tunnel-shaped opening section from coming into contact with the opening section wall face, and a light receiving part for receiving the plurality of optical beams from the light emission part, and spreading the optical beams along the wall face of the opening section by a flux of the optical beams irradiated from the light emission section toward the light receiving section; and a detecting means, when either of the optical beams irradiated from the light emission section to the light receiving section is interrupted, detecting it.
