The identification label (1) has upper or lower side printed film layer, an upper side inscribed labeling field (3) and a cover layer. An adhesive layer is provided between film layer and cover layer under an open area of the labeling field. A folding flap (9) is formed in the cover layer by which the labeling field is accessible. The cover layer is plastic film of silicon paper. An independent claim is also included for a method of production of identification label.
