A dosage element of a type to be consumed in ware washing comprises first (10) and second joined parts (20). The first part (10) comprises a substrat e carrying a substance, but preferably carrying a plurality of mutually sepa rated substances A, C. Opposed, second, part (20) comprises a substrate carr ying one or more substances B. The first part (10) is joined to the second p art (20) so as to form a closed receptacle enclosing the substances in a mes hing or interdigitating manner. This arrangement has benefits in manufacturi ng and in mechanical properties.
