GLUCOSIDIC LINKAGE DECOMPOSITION ENZYME OF SESAMINOL GLYCOSIDE AND BACTERIUM PRODUCING THE ENZYME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enzyme for producing sesaminol from a sesaminol glycoside and a bacterium for producing the enzyme.

SOLUTION: Bacterium Paenibacillus sp. KB0549 produces an enzyme for producing sesaminol from a sesaminol glycoside. The enzyme cleaves β-1,2- and β-1,6-glucosidic linkage of a sesaminol glycoside and β-1 glucosidic linkage between sesaminol and glucose. The deoxyribonucleic acid encodes the enzyme. The vector contains the deoxyribonucleic acid. The transformant contains the vector introduced thereinto.
