<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce operation force in operation of a parking brake. <P>SOLUTION: The braking device 1 is provided with: a cylinder 2; a piston 9 arranged in the cylinder 2; a cam shaft 22 moved to a brake rotor side interlocked with operation of the parking brake; and an adjusting mechanism 11 provided between the cam shaft 22 and the piston and adjusting a clearance of the brake rotor 5 and a friction pad 7. In the braking device 1, the parking brake is operated by moving the piston 9 to the brake rotor side by the cam shaft 2 through the adjusting mechanism 11 interlocked with the operation of the parking brake. The braking device 1 is further provided with a cam spring 15 for biasing the adjusting mechanism 11 to the cam shaft 22; and a spring guide 16 for storing the cam spring 15. The spring guide 16 is supported on the cam shaft 22 such that the spring guide 16 is moved with the cam shaft 22 along a cylinder axial direction relative to the cylinder 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
