<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage system, a control method therefor, and a storage device, which suppress rotation/stop of a magnetic disk device by power on/off control to a necessary minimum, stop the rotation of the magnetic disk device instantly without standby time and without affecting the life of the magnetic disk device, and can achieve efficient electric power saving. <P>SOLUTION: A power source management means 402 provided in a management server 400 is equipped with: a means for indicating power-off/on for host computers 300, 302, 304; and a means for indicating stop/rotation of physical storage devices D11 to Dmn constituting logical disks 220, 222, 224, 226, 228 assigned to the host computers 300, 302, 304 for a storage device 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
