<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmitter capable of bringing about the best error correction capability usable in the band of an error correction packet. <P>SOLUTION: Media packets and FEC (Forward Error Correction) packets having a plurality of different error correction capabilities based on the media packet are previously generated, associated with one another and stored in a storing part 10, an error correction strength outputting part 60 calculates the best error correction capability M transmittable in a band used for transmission of an error correction packet on the basis of a media ratio and a MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) size, a packet stream reading part 70 reads an FEC packet corresponding to the best error correction capability M together with the media packet from the storing part 10, and a communicating part 50 transmits the FEC packet and the media packet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
