<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resource-saved, highly reliable optical deflector in which a rotating polygon mirror is miniaturized to be smaller than a motor part, and vibration and shaft runout are suppressed to a small level. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical deflector, a rotating body on which a rotating polygon mirror is disposed is supported by a radial bearing and rotary-driven with a motor, the inscribed circle of the rotating polygon mirror is smaller than the circumscribed circle of a rotor magnet support part provided on the rotating body, and the centroid of the rotating body is located within the radial bearing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
