PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepping motor driving unit which drives a stepping motor so as to eliminate the adhesion of an adhered portion, when a front part where the power of a power propagation mechanism is propagated is adhered. SOLUTION: The stepping motor driving unit drives the stepping motor, which is connected to a motor shaft to supplies power to the power propagation mechanism including a play during the propagation of power. When the movement of the front part, where the power of the power propagation mechanism is propagated, is restrained to limit the rotation of the motor shaft within a minute angle range, a drive signal is supplied according to a drive pulse having a drive frequency that is same as a natural frequency, obtained from the magnetic spring characteristics of the stepping motor and from the inertia of the power propagation mechanism part from the motor shaft to the play, or to a drive pulse having any drive frequency that is two to four times of the natural frequency, thereby driving the stepping motor.
