PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation apparatus for an air conditioner reducing cost and weight by improving an installation structure for the air conditioner to require only small strength for connection between a main installation plate and an auxiliary installation plate. SOLUTION: The installation apparatus S for the air conditioner is fitted and fixed to an indoor wall surface R and locks the upper end and lower end of the air conditioner K to install the air conditioner on the indoor wall surface. The installation apparatus S is composed of the main installation plate 10 comprising both left and right side installation plates 11, 12 juxtaposed with a predetermined space to each other, and the auxiliary installation plate 20 arranged between the both left and right side installation plates constituting the main installation plate, to connect the both left and right side installation plates. Engaging parts 1 and engaging hole parts 3 for locking the upper and lower ends of the air conditioner are provided at the upper ends and lower ends of the both left and right side installation plates respectively.
