PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic precipitator suppressing generation of ozone while having a high dust collecting performance using a discharge electrode plate with no risk of breaking of wire, and to provide a discharge electrode plate for the electrostatic precipitator. SOLUTION: The discharge electrode plate 52A possesses a plurality of projections 10 of which the top end is sharp on a vertical end surface in a gas flow direction and is provided with a circular arc part 10A with a radius of curvature R at the corner of a projection bottom part.
