PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaporative cooling apparatus capable of preventing a lowering of heat exchange efficiency by preventing the formation of a boundary surface between a wet part wet with a cooling fluid and an unwet part to prevent precipitation of scale. SOLUTION: A cooling circulation passage 3 is connected to a jacket part 2 of a reaction kiln 1. The cooling circulation passage 3 is connected to an ejector 6 through a valve 4. A plurality of partition spaces 26, 27, 28, 29 are formed on the outer surface of the reaction kiln 1. Cooling pipes 3, 5, 22, 24 are arranged facing the respective partition spaces 26, 27, 28, 29. The cooling fluid supplied from the cooling pipes 3, 5 puts only the partition spaces 26, 27 into a wet state and the partition spaces 28, 29 into a totally unwet state to prevent precipitation of scale.
