METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION, AUTHENTICATION AND CONTROL OF COVERAGE BASED ON THE BLUETOOTH® STANDARD

Method of identification, authentication and control of coverage based on the Bluetooth® standard and used in a system comprising: a central unit; a beacon network; a set of terminals, in which each terminal is assigned to at least one beacon; in which method, for each terminal [1] there is a profile including an authentication service [5] and a coverage control service [6], with a unique service identifier which is the same for all the Bluetooth® devices [4]. Furthermore, when the Bluetooth® device [4] is detected by a beacon [2] belonging to the network, it connects to the coverage service [6] of the device [4], and if the identification is positive the device [4] is considered a terminal [1] belonging to the system; it is checked whether the terminal [1] belongs to the beacon [2] by connecting said beacon [2] to the authentication service [5] of the terminal [1] and exchanging at least four messages; following the authentication process, if it is positive, the terminal [1] is assigned to the beacon [2]; if it is negative, the terminal [1] belongs to the system but is not assigned to said beacon [2].
