<p>A steel reinforcement coupler is disclosed. The coupler increases fastening force and tensile force, and affords a prompt and convenient fastening operation when steel reinforcements are coupled to each other. The coupler includes a pair of covers each having a seating groove which accommodates an end of each of steel reinforcements that are to be coupled to each other, with at least one coupling protrusion provided on an outer circumferential surface of each cover in a cir¬ cumferential direction thereof, a sleeve which accommodates outer circumferential surfaces of the covers and elastically presses the coupling protrusion of each of the covers, and a plurality of wedges which are longitudinally fitted between each of the covers and the sleeve. Such a con¬ struction allows the sleeve to be rotated and locked to the coupling protrusion of each cover, thus allowing coupling or fastening work to be very conveniently and rapidly executed.</p> |
