<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable operation in an EGR quantity adapted to an engine operation condition in the whole operation area of an engine, by replenishing upon reduction in an EGR (exhaust gas recirculating) quantity by reduction in DPF differential pressure caused by regeneration of a DPF (a black smoke removing device). <P>SOLUTION: This engine with an EGR system has: the DPF for removing a very small solid material in exhaust gas; an EGR passage for recirculating a part of the exhaust gas to an intake passage; and an EGR valve for adjusting opening of the EGR passage, and is constituted so as to perform inside EGR of an exhaust valve for mixing a part of the exhaust gas in an exhaust passage in intake air by sending into a combustion chamber in an intake stroke, and is characterized by having: a differential pressure detecting means for detecting the DPF differential pressure; and an EGR controller for calculating the EGR adjusting quantity based on a differential pressure deviation between a detecting value of the DPF differential pressure and a reference value of the DPF differential pressure, for setting the reference value of the DPF differential pressure corresponding to a reference value of the inside EGR, and for controlling the opening of the EGR valve in response to an EGR adjusting quantity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
