PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pollution-proof type rust preventive pigment composition exhibiting rust preventive performance equal to that of rust preventive pigment comprising harmful heavy metal such as strontium chromate to galvanized steel sheets including Galvalume steel sheets. SOLUTION: The rust preventive pigment composition for galvanized steel sheets comprises the two components of: (a) a condensed phosphoric acid aluminum salt or a tetravalent metal layered phosphate hard to dissolve in water; and (b) magnesium oxide, and (a):(b) is 1:0.5 to 1:10 by weight.
