COPPER ALLOY, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR, AND ELECTRIC WIRE OR CABLE USING COPPER ALLOY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copper alloy superior in elongation and conductivity, though having a simple binary-alloy-based composition; a manufacturing method therefor; and an electric wire or a cable using a copper alloy. SOLUTION: The copper alloy comprises more than 0 but 1.1 mass% or less Hf and the balance being copper with impurities; and shows an elongation of 5% or more. Such an alloy can be obtained by subjecting an alloy material containing Hf of more than 0 but 1.1 mass% or less to aging treatment at 300 to 500°C. The copper alloy can be the binary copper alloy which has both of the conductivity and the elongation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
