PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant resin composition composed of a thermoplastic resin excellent in flame retardancy, warpage resistance, mechanical properties, hydrolysis resistance, bleed-out resistance and flowability, without an adverse effect due to decomposed residues generated from thermal decomposition or photodecomposition of a phosphate flame retardant. SOLUTION: This flame retardant resin composition is composed of the resin composition comprising (A) a polybutylene terephthalate resin, or a polybutylene terephthalate resin and a polyethylene terephthalate resin, (B) a thermoplastic resin, (C) a phosphate flame retardant, (D) at least one metal salt selected from among alkali metal salts and alkali earth metal salts, and (E) a salt of a triazine compound with cyanuric acid or isocyanuric acid.
