An outlet device arranged on a wall surface is provided with an outlet box for storing electric wiring and optical interconnection, and a cover plate for covering the outlet box. The cover plate is provided with a plate surface whereupon an opening section for exposing at least one electric connecting port of a telephone jack and a power supply outlet is formed, and an extending section formed to extend forward from the plate surface on either right or left side of the plate surface. The extending section can store a connecting adaptor whereupon an optical connector directly attached to an end portion of an optical fiber cable is mounted. The extending section has a lower surface whereupon an opening is formed to have an optical connecting port of the connecting adaptor face downward and exposed.
