The time display has a substrate having a display surface, medium for visual highlighting of discrete points. The scales are arranged such that the starting point for each display of the hour for display corresponds to a closed analogue circulating hour arrangement and the finishing point is arranged distinctly separate from the temporally directly succeeding hour position. The display of the change in hour occurs with a jump and the scales form a common intersection, through which each scale runs or the scales actually or in the imaginary extension thereof do not form a common intersection.
