<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame-retardant polypopylene-based resin composition resistant to damage, emitting no toxic gases such as a halogen-based gas when burnt, excellent in mechanical properties such as tensile properties, flexibility, low-temperature bendability, chemical resistance and heat resistance, and also excellent in abrasion resistance in particular, and to provide hard-to-damage excellent non-halogen-based covered electric cables. <P>SOLUTION: The flame-retardant polypopylene-based resin composition is obtained by compounding 60-100 pts.wt. of an inorganic flame retardant to 100 pts.wt. of a base resin composition comprising 90-65 pts.wt. of polypropylene and the rest of one or more polymers selected from a polyethylene-based resin, an olefinic thermoplastic elastomer and a styrenic thermoplastic elastomer. This flame-retardant polypropylene-based resin composition is 0.1 or greater in tanδ as a viscoelastic characteristic value at 25°C within a frequency range of 1-30 Hz and 68-74 in type D durometer hardness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
