<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process cartridge which can be inserted in an image forming apparatus main body with one hand and to/from which a protecting cover is easily attached/detached with one hand, and an electrophotographic image forming apparatus to/from which the process cartridge is attached/detached. <P>SOLUTION: A positioned portion 70b positioned in the electrophotographic image forming apparatus main body 100A and an engaged portion 70c to be held therein are provided at the leading end in an insertion direction of the protecting cover 70 mountable in a longitudinal direction attached to the process cartridge 7.
