APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING DATA IN CODE DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for transmitting and receiving data for improving the reliability of data bits to be transmitted, in a code division multiple access mobile communications system.

SOLUTION: In data bits to be transmitted, a bit of high priority is transmitted while being mapped at a bit position of high reliability among bits comprising a symbol, and a bit with relatively low priority is transmitted while being mapped at the bit position of relatively low reliability. Thus, there are provided the apparatus and the method for transmitting and receiving data which can improve the performance of the system when transmitting.
