<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality bearing unit easily assembled without damaging a rolling element. <P>SOLUTION: This double-row bearing unit is provided with: an outer ring 2 having an outer ring raceway surface 21 on the inner-diameter side; an inner ring 4 having an inner ring raceway surface 41 on the outer-diameter side; a plurality of rolling elements 6 rollingly incorporated between the outer and the inner rings; and a cage 7 holding the rolling elements at predetermined intervals. The cage has: a base 8 formed in a small diameter; columns 9 axially extending from the base at predetermined intervals, and each formed to gradually increase a diameter toward the tip side 9a; and pockets P formed between the columns, and capable of housing the rolling elements. The cage also has, on the outer peripheral surface 8a of the base, claws 11 projecting in the outer-diameter direction at predetermined intervals, and still also has, on the bearing inner side of the outer ring raceway surface, recessed grooves 23 capable of housing the claws of the cage, and continuing in the circumferential direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
