PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change a communication system connecting a server to a client, and to achieve a management function for validly using each communication system. SOLUTION: A client 10 achieves server connection by a plurality of communication systems such as SOAP and DCOM. As for a system for selecting a communication system to be executed, it is uniquely determined according to a default/user operation at a client side, and it is selected according to the setting of the server side. A server connection controller 13 acquires the information of the communication system set at a server side 20 side for performing the latter system. Setting information acquired by associating the acquired communication system with connection destination information such as a server name and address is managed by a setting information storage part, and the communication system is selected and used for setting according to the managed setting information in the case of connection.
